HMA Investments was established in 1984 as a pump trading company. In 1988 HMA Pumps was established as a joint venture with technology transfer to assemble and manufacture stainless steel pumps in Pakistan. Its deletion program is approved by Engineering Development Board, Ministry of Industry, Government of Pakistan since 2000.
In line with chairman’s vision, HMA pumps has introduced many new pump technologies starting from In-line pumps to submersible pumps, turbine pumps, high pressure pumps, booster sets, fire fighting systems and sewage IP68 pumps that have all become the benchmark in the industry, building sector and the municipalities making it a true “Pioneer Industry”.

HMA projects and installations are numerous- spreading all over Pakistan for the last 35 years. A few major milestone projects are:
HMA factory is fully equipped with all the necessary machine tools, lathes, milling, drilling, boring, welding, cutting, turning and balancing machines including automatic pipe welding plant.
HMA manufactures its production using an ERP system and job shop production methodology via its 3 assembly benches. It has a dedicated team to manage prompt repair services that are available in-house.
Quality is a vital part of the HMA QMS Policy and it has all the necessary tools and equipment to ensure compliance with the standards. The 2 electronic-hydraulic test beds installed are ISO 9906 certified and its quality tools are externally calibrated.
The test beds have a combined capacity to test up to 10” discharge and 200 HP motors for various types of turbine, centrifugal, submersible, waste water , booster and fire fighting pumping units.
Out of 18,500 sq. ft. HMA has a dedicated warehouse of 7,500 sq. ft. which carries a large inventory in its stock to meet most of the customer needs.
For better alignment of goals, improved team work and coordination amongst the team is now being implemented by the key HR initiative of Key Performance Indicators. All management staff has well defined goals and objectives. To appreciate and motivate its employees, HMA conducts annual dinner and prize distribution ceremony to recognize its high achievers. Employees enjoy periodic excursion activities like Cricket matches, picnics and outdoor trips as well.
Training is an integral part of HMA’s core strategy, both internal and external. HMA continues to train its team in various pump application solutions and conducts training seminars for its customers to show case its new products. Training seminars are being held internally on teamwork amongst various job functions for better alignment and support to sales. ‘Service Skill Set Improvement Training Program’ was conducted for all the service staff across the company in order to align them for improved customer services and to enroll them in the service incentive program.
